Connis's Story
Connis is from Birmingham, Alabama Connis's schools include Carver High School. Connis attended Daniel Payne College and later attended St. Mary's College in California (Business Management) . Connis became the first African American Stewardess hired by Southern Airways, a South East Regional carrier, the first African American from the South and the first from Alabama. She was one of two that was based in the South (Atlanta).
